Hi, my name is Linda and I’ve been working in E.McElholm Opticians for over 12 years. I began as an optical assistant and progressed to a laboratory technician in the lab in our Downpatrick practice. This position enables me to decide the best type of spectacles and lenses that will suit our patients’ individual requirements. Being a laboratory technician is an interesting role with a lot of responsibility, working to ensure all elements pass General Optical Council (GOC) standards. It’s very important to me that I liaise with the patients to make sure they have the upmost experience with us and leave the practice happy with the service they received. We strive to make sure a visit to McElholms is the utmost satisfactory visit for the patients. We keep growing year after year with new and exciting technology and of course a beautiful selection of frames. I really enjoy working in this practice, the amazing team we have and dealing with our patients, some who have been with us since Edel opened the practice over 20 years ago.
